Back to School

Kiwanis Club and community volunteers take 70 children chosen by the Grass Valley School District based upon need, shopping for clothing at a local merchant. Kiwanis provides $125 in new school clothes and a backpack full of school supplies for these K-8 grade children. In 2025 the Back to School event is set for Monday August 4th at 9AM at the JC Penney parking lot. You can sponsor a child for $125 or just show up, register, and take a child shopping in the store.
